About me

Katrin Reiter
“When lines speak and dots jump”
I have been painting for as long as I can remember and have always found it a liberating way to express myself. In my world, lines and dots talk to each other, argue and inspire each other, explore and reinvent themselves. Colors intuitively play with shapes, nuances, shades and tell stories. For me, art is an enrichment that makes life wider and deeper.
As an art therapist, I open up a space in which you can develop freely, create and explore your inner world. Whether you or your child are going through a period of mourning, are looking for new perspectives or simply want to rediscover your creativity – I am at your side with my experience and attention.
Since 2023 I have been working part-time and on a freelance basis as an art therapist in my own studio and on the wonderful Sonneninsel in Seekirchen.

Short vita
Born in Hallein in 1978 and raised in Pfarrwerfen, I completed commercial school and then worked as a signage technician. While working, I completed the Berufsreifeprüfung and graduated with distinction with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences at the University of Salzburg. My studies focused on global studies, interactions and teaching and learning systems.
Since 2011 , I have been working as a project manager for the Salzburg Educational Counseling Network, including the areas of Active in Old Age and the educational book blog for Salzburg adult education. My core competencies include strategic development, coordination, budget planning, project management, controlling, target group-oriented content marketing, public relations and networking.
Between 2010 and 2015, I initiated and led the intercultural performance theater group KNALSHIEF for the association Synbiose on a voluntary basis and staged numerous performances, flash mobs and actions.
In 2015 , I founded the intercultural network IKULT together with Andrea Folie and developed the participatory regional development project QUERBEET on a voluntary basis, which I supported strategically until 2020.
This project was awarded the 2016 Future Prize, successfully implemented in the Pongau and Saalachtal Leader regions and linked to the Salzburger Bildungswerk.
In January 2021, in collaboration with Susanne Christine Drdla and Daniela Friedrich, the Gruppenspektakel card sets were created, which offer innovative tools for team leadership, collaboration, co-creation and working with groups and school classes.
Between 2022 and 2024, I accompanied the EU-BELONG project for the state of Salzburg together with Andrea Folie. This project is based on the intercultural approach of the Council of Europe and the Intercultural Cities Program (ICC) and explores the dimensions of equality, diversity and interaction in regional contexts.
By graduating as a qualified clinical art therapist, I fulfilled a long-cherished wish and have been working as an art therapist in private practice since 2023 – including for Sonneninsel Seekirchen – as well as in my own studio.
Since 2024 I have been working together with Lea Leyendeckers on the development of an art therapy card set for grief work.
